- Admission to the permanent exhibitions is free to persons aged 65 or over. For details , please see the here.
- For school or other group visits, admission is free for preschoolers, elementary, junior high, and high school students.
- Tour conductors and travel agency staff are required to pay the admission fee (320 yen per person).

Donation-Inclusive Admission Ticket

500 Yen / 1,000 Yen
- Sales begin on October 1, 2025.
- A portion of the purchase price (180 yen for a 500-yen ticket, 680 yen for a 1,000-yen ticket) will be donated to support the conservation of diverse plant species and the maintenance of exhibition facilities that promote environmental awareness.
- A small gift of appreciation will be presented at the Orientation Building reception to those who purchase a donation-inclusive admission ticket.
- Donation receipts will not be issued.
- Individuals who are eligible for free admission or entering as part of a group may also purchase a donation-inclusive admission ticket. In such cases, 320 yen will be treated as the admission fee, and the remainder as a donation.

Information for Visitors
- Persons wishing to re-enter the Garden on the same day are asked to inquire at the information desk.
- Free entry on May 4 (Green Day) and November 3 (Culture Day).

Atomic bomb victims, persons wounded in war and other disabled persons are admitted free, along with one caregiver for each disabled person.
These disabled persons are asked to present one of the following forms of identification when entering the Museum.
Identification: Disabled Person's Notebook, Rehabilitation Notebook, Mentally Handicapped Person's Social Services Notebook, Disabled Person's Social Services Recipient Card, Medical Support for Independent Living Recipient Card, Atomic Bomb Victim Notebook, War Wounded Notebook |

Group Visits and Visit Application
- Groups of 20 or more visitors, including those arriving by chartered bus, are requested to make a reservation in advance using the “Visit Application Form.”
- For advance reservations, please fill out the required information on the application form and send it by email or FAX.

Teachers Accompanying School Groups
Teachers accompanying school groups for off-campus learning or school trips can also receive free admission by submitting the garden-designated proof of employment on the day of their visit.

For visitors who want to enjoy the garden casually
Even if your group does not require a guided tour, please use this application form.

Curator-Led Garden Tours

For a more specialized tour, conducted by a curator.
These tours are generally available only for school groups from upper elementary grades and above, on weekdays

Garden Tours
- Groups of 10 to 40 visitors: A brief 5-minute introduction to the garden outdoors, or a 15-minute guided tour including a garden introduction and explanation of plants in season.
- Groups of 41 to 60 visitors: Only a brief 5-minute garden introduction.
Groups over 60 visitors: Self-guided visit, no tour provided.
※School groups require consultation. As a general rule, one tour is provided per school group. (Applicable for visits on or after April 1, 2025)
- Tours are canceled in case of rain.
- Please notify us of any changes or delays to your arrival time. If your group is more than 15 minutes late, the tour will be canceled.
- Weekdays: Tours are generally led by garden staff.
- Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays: Tours are generally led by garden volunteers.

Facility Rental
At Tsukuba Botanical Garden, facilities such as the 3rd-floor Testing and Training Room (Lab) of the Workshop and Exhibition Building are generally available for rental at a fee (free use may be possible in some cases).

- Bringing pets into the garden (except service dogs for people with disabilities: guide dogs, assistance dogs, hearing dogs)
- Collecting plants or animals (including fallen leaves, fruits, etc.) *All plants in the garden are research subjects.
- Entering gardens or areas beyond ropes and fences
- Smoking
- Drinking alcohol
- Jogging or playing sports
- Any behavior that may disturb other visitors
