Education
Learning at Tsukuba Botanical Garden
Encouraging more people to take an interest in plant diversity leads to greater understanding and efforts to protect it. To share the diversity of plants, we organize a variety of events, special exhibitions, seminars, and school programs that showcase
the beauty of plants, explain what plant diversity is, and highlight its importance. We also offer garden tours tailored to your needs.
Events
We organize special exhibitions and events on various plant-related themes. There are many plants that are featured exclusively in our special exhibitions. During the exhibition period, we offer seminars and guided tours.
Learning Support Programs
In addition to simply visiting the garden, we offer a variety of activities that make learning about plants enjoyable.
Learn about the SDGs at the Botanical Garden
Behind the use of plants lie social and environmental issues. Let's learn about this process through familiar examples and consider the potential of plants along with the SDGs.
Craft Day
On the third Saturday of each month, we hold Craft Day, where visitors can enjoy making crafts using seasonal natural materials such as flowers and nuts.
Botanical Art Competition
The annual botanical art competition is open to elementary, junior high, and high school students, with a variety of awards including the Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology Award. Each year, many outstanding works are submitted.
