Volunteer Activities
Botanical garden volunteers play an active role in a variety of activities, including guiding visitors, maintaining the garden, and assisting with educational programs. At special exhibitions and events, volunteers often take a leading role in organizing and running activities. Volunteers are recruited every few years and are registered after completing appropriate training. They can be recognized by their light blue vests or yellow shirts.
Garden Tours
On Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays, volunteers guide visitors primarily to see plants that are at their seasonal peak. In addition to the regular tour starting at 1:30 PM, tours can be arranged upon request. Please feel free to speak with a volunteer
at the Orientation Building.
(Please note that regular tours may be canceled due to weather conditions or other events.)
Botanical Garden Wagon
To help visitors take a greater interest in the plants throughout the garden, volunteers offer guided programs using models, resin-embedded specimens, and other materials.

Additional programs will be added gradually.
Garden Maintenance
Volunteers assist with the monthly garden-wide maintenance, as well as the care of plants in the fern greenhouse and ponds.
Events and Learning Support Activities Assistance
Volunteers help with events held in the garden and support school lessons.
Interactive events, including special exhibitions such as the "Botanical Garden Festa," are also organized.
